"There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in."

Leonard Cohen

What is Counselling?

Counselling provides a safe, supportive space to discuss current challenges, explore feelings, and gain clarity in daily life. It focuses on emotional support, problem-solving, and increasing self-awareness. Counselling is useful for life transitions, stress, relationship issues, self-esteem concerns, or coping with specific events.

While counselling and psychotherapy often overlap, counselling tends to be shorter-term and more focused on specific issues or life situations—such as stress, relationship difficulties, work pressures, or life transitions. Psychotherapy, on the other hand, often explores deeper emotional patterns, past experiences, or long-standing challenges that may affect how you relate to yourself and others.

In counselling, the process is collaborative: you are supported to express yourself openly, reflect on your experiences, and find practical ways forward. It offers a space to be heard and understood without judgment, helping you feel more grounded and in control.

Counselling can be beneficial at any stage of life—whether you’re facing a crisis, navigating change, or simply wanting to understand yourself better. Many people find that counselling not only brings relief from immediate challenges but also builds lasting self-awareness and resilience.
